JUNE HAPPENINGS: EVENTS, MARKET INSIGHTS, AND MORE
May was packed with educational events and personal milestones. We hosted two key seminars: "Stuck to Sold," focusing on buying and selling simultaneously for long-time homeowners, and a New Construction Seminar that detailed the entire building process. To wrap up the month, we celebrated my daughter’s graduation from UMass Amherst.
On the professional front, May was particularly eventful. I closed the highest-priced single-family home sale in Taunton's history, a milestone that contributes to the rising home values in our city. Additionally, I was thrilled to learn I was the top listing sold agent for my company in April and the top agent for my office for three consecutive months (February, March, and April). Qualifying for the January trip before mid-year was the cherry on top. It’s shaping up to be a busy and blessed 2024!
Market Insights: Bristol & Plymouth County
In May, new listings in Bristol and Plymouth Counties were down compared to April. However, homes priced at market value are selling quickly due to the continued low inventory.
While May's sales figures are pending, April showed an 11-14% decrease compared to last year, directly correlating with inventory levels. Despite fewer sales, median sale prices continue to rise:
Bristol County: Up 10.7% to $498,000
Plymouth County: Up 18.4% to $592,000
Days on market are around 20 days, similar to last year. Both counties remain seller’s markets, with high demand and fast-selling homes.
