Fresh Updates and Happenings in Bristol & Plymouth Counties: January Newsletter
Kim Gravel,
What's new?
- December started off with the annual Lights On Festival in Taunton culminating with the beloved Christmas Parade on Sun. It’s always such a magical time spreading Christmas Cheer and getting in the spirit!
- Like most, December was filled with lots of gatherings with friends and family and many heart happy moments. Especially, having both children home under one roof.
- I also got word that as of January I will be the new voluntary secretary for the Cape Cod Senior Resource Group. A non-profit assisting seniors on the Cape and beyond with a plethora of resources. Let me know, if you’d like a Free Resource Guide.
- Professionally December was as busy for me as the spring market. Given the state of the market, I was able to get numerous buyers under contract as well as handing over keys to many lucky new homeowners.
- We also closed on our first 2 homes in Taunton’s newest subdivision “Gracey Estates”
- December was also filled with lots of planning for 2025. Stay tuned and keep your eye out for seminars and educational opportunities in the new year.
- I have lots of new listings on the horizon in 2025 including new constructions, In-Law Ranch with massive garage, Rehoboth, newer 55+ SF, Ranch in Raynham, Multi-Family in Dighton, Campanelli Ranch and more. Reach out if anything sounds enticing.
PSA!
- Any business owners or even real estate investors with an LLC, make sure you keep up to speed on the Corporate Transparency Act and Beneficial Ownership Reporting
- The original mandate had a filing deadline of 12/31/24 or hefty daily fees could be imposed until filing was done.
- There is a current federal court order stating that BOI reporting is not mandatory but this has flip flopped multiple times. So, either stay on top of whether the mandate goes back in to play or just file the report. It’s really not that difficult if you follow instructions. Learn about it here: https://www.fincen.gov/boi
